A decent conclusion to the trilogy
I really enjoyed not just this book, but the whole first trilogy.
A very solid installment in an excellent series.
A good start, and an easy way in for new readers.
When in doubt, write the same story again.
Overall, the prose and characters remain strong, but the storytelling simply isn't up to the level of its predecessor.
This is best read as a short novel plus a related novella.
This is a masterful piece of work
I wish Shaw had taken his time to develop the story a bit more in this first installment.
The series finale pays off in a satisfying way.
A fun book, though it could have been stronger with more direction and less wandering.
Overall, an interesting entry, but not really satisfying.
